Thought I'd inject my overdue Sunday drive with a syringe full of ohgodwhy. Mt. Hamilton Road (or Route 130) is stupid long, going all the way from the south bay to Interstate 5. There's an observatory along the way that looks like a good goal on a map but I'll see how close/far that really is.
edit: Look at this corner; the paint truck can't handle this corner

Wikipedia says it's 4000 feet from San Jose to the summit. Bonus fact: the road isn't very steep (long instead) because it was originally built for horses and wagons
